Fighting the urge to hit the "check for new email" button for the umpteen time, my hands wander over to my latest tool for self expression; the Sony DSC-HX5V. I got dressed and packed my stuff into a backpack, ready to leave my apartment to snap some pictures of the beautiful skyline near the Marina Bay Sands area. As I headed to the front door, I took a quick peek out of the window to check for rain. Then I stopped dead in my tracks.
Trembling with excitment, my fingers fumbled at the zipper of my backpack. Mutturing softly under my breadth as I struggled to quickly untangle the straps of my camera bag from the unsightly jumble of stuff that is better left unnamed for the sake of our dear readers. The camera did its usual high pitch whine as I took shot after shot out of the windows of my apartment.
The view around my apartment cannot be compared to that of Marina Bay but in my eyes, they are beautiful in their own way. Sometimes, we don't have to go too far to search for whatever it is we are looking for. Sometimes, they are right here, at our feet.
My compact Sony DSC-HX5V may not be able to out-perform a high-end DSLR, but tonight ... she is my best friend!!!
A new day beckons, new challenges, new experiences. I can't wait to get started.

And even the sun in dawn chorus sings, a celestial melody to the earth below.
