Early last week, my good friend and business partner William Cho emailed me, asking if I wanted to join him on a short trip to a Wine Fiesta. It sounded interesting and I said 'yes' in less time that it took to type this sentence. All week, I waited in excitement.
Diving into its fourth consecutive year, The Singapore Wine Fiesta 2011 is an initiative by The Straits Wine Company in partnership with DBS and featured more than 40 international wine labels. The Wine Fiesta was held at the Customs House Pavilion and it was a great choice. The sparkling harbour view over the Marina Bay Area waterfront greatly complimented the wonderful tipples flowing from exquisitely designed wine bottles.
Nursing a back injury, I ditched my trusty Nikon D7000, replacing it with my Canon G12, which was significantly lighter. Towards the end, I kind of regretted leaving my D7K behind but ... that one is for another post.
The Hordes arrive!
They came ...
They were served ... by gracious Wine Makers and Straits Wine staff
And they drank ...
and drank ...
and DRANK ...
and a merry little bunch were they!!!
Beautiful People, Excellent Wines, Reputable Winemakers, Friendly Staff, there is no better way to spend a precious Saturday!
Another tremendously successful event by The Straits Wine Company, DBS and URA, especially Ms Juliana Tan!
Thank you for organising this!
