Paul Koh's "Ride with Me" takes us away to a place where small things matter more than big ones - like getting ready for a dance in the rain, spending time waiting for the sun to rise, or hours watching birds and fishes glide through their universes.

The catmaSutra cats take us through a journey based on innocence, where imagination marries delight, freedom exudes playfulness, such that we can become a child again. We become the music that we are - a blissful symphonic harmony - when we stop to reacquaint ourselves with these moments.

When Women Are Quiet- An Eclectic Feminine Artistic Expression was incepted a year ago after a group of friends got together to learn to paint, with the idea of acquiring the techniques to facilitate the expression of meaning through form and colour.

However, over time, in addition to the technical secrets, the group realised that the most important thing they had learned was to connect in a deeper way with their inner selves and amongst themselves, developing a friendship which today constitutes an unparalleled treasure for them.

An art form that is creative, impertinent, eclectic, beautiful, delicate, witty, exuberant, naughty, fanciful, ironic, intimate, sincere and deep.

On the 25th of November, Goodman Arts Centre is hosting a playwriting open dialogue session called Theatre Talkback! This session aims to provide budding playwrights feedback from the general public (YOU!) and from an acclaimed line up of panellists on their piece of work that is waiting to see its day on the stage. We have conducted the open call, and the three (3) selected scripts will be opened to the floor and subject to YOUR grilling...

At Theatre Talkback!, you get to:
  •  Pick the brains of experienced theatre practitioners on how their creative minds work. The Panellists will also share their work and their conceptualising process in reaching the end result.

Unlike most people, New York-based artist Nathan Sawaya never stopped building, creating and exploring his own imagination using LEGO® bricks which he has played with since a young age.

In this critically acclaimed and the first major museum exhibition to use LEGO bricks as the sole art medium, Sawaya transforms them into awe-inspiring and thought-provoking sculptures, elevating the toy to the realm of art.

The Art of the Brick at ArtScience Museum will be the biggest yet, showcasing 52 sculptures including the iconic sculpture Yellow, a 6-meter long T-rex dinosaur skeleton, and – to be unveiled for the first time – a sculpture of ArtScience Museum.

Note: The Art of the Brick exhibition contains strobe lighting and smoke effects.

If you with to meet the Brick Artist, Nathan Sawaya, it's on Saturday, 17 November at 11am, 2pm or 4pm. Complimentary and open to The Art of the Brick ticket holders. Nathan will take you through The Art of the Brick exhibition, speak about his creative process and inspiration.

TheatreTalkback!
by Goodman Arts Centre

Nothing is more frustrating to a playwright than not knowing how to better the work before staging it.

Your friends and family members loved it, your co-writers felt that it was enough... But how sure can you be? Have your work really matured? Wish you had the feedback of distinguished artists and theatre-goers?

This is what TheatreTalkback! is about.

On 25th November, Goodman Arts Centre is hosting a playwriting open dialogue session called Theatre Talkback

Get feedback from the general public and from an acclaimed line up of panelist (consisting of a playwright, a director and an educator) on your work! Gain invaluable pointers from our panelists, pick their brains as they share their experience conceptualising and incubating their past works. Network opportunities with like-minded individuals!

Five chosen playwrights will be revealed on the 16 of November 2012 on the Goodman Arts Centre's website and Facebook page.

                         Will it be you?
