Well, apparently it can.
On March 23, 333 teams use their ingenuity to out-build, outdo and outfly their competitors at the Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC). This is Singapore’s largest flying machine competition and it is jointly organised by the Science Centre Singapore (SCS) and DSO National Laboratories (DSO).
This year saw the highest number of participants take part since SAFMC’s inaugural launch in 2009, with a total of 31 new teams participating across all categories, and 166 returning teams.
Competitors demonstrated their adeptness and creativity through a multitude of ways. One Category A team defied the rules of gravity by flying their paper plane through six hoops,
while another team broke the all-time competition record by achieving 19m in range.
So yes, a Paper Plane can be made to fly through 6 hoops!
