This week was pretty interesting because Typhoon Danas was forecasted to visit Fukuoka. While I have experienced typhoons before in Tokyo ... this was the first time I’d be experiencing one all by myself.
Fortunately, for such a hyped-out event, it turned out to be more drama than anything.
Everything started on Monday. The class LINE group started buzzing with news of a typhoon. But annoyingly, no one knew
So, being the good girl that I am, I woke up early and made my way to school.
However, during second period, whispers started going around that school was cancelled. When I checked my phone, I had messages from at least three different people confirming the news. Funny that when we’re talking about cancelled classes, news travels faster than the speed of light! :)
But surprisingly, nothing much happened as I cocooned myself in my house and the winds only started at night. I did see that some of my friends got their umbrellas ruined though. But all in all, this was a rather non-event for me.
Just when I was heaving a sigh of relief, I heard that another typhoon is coming.
Hopefully it doesn’t ...
