Tokyo has Disneyland, Osaka has Universal Studios. So what does Kyushu has? Well, in Kitakyushu, there is Spaceworld! Spaceworld was created in 1990 by Nippon Steel, it is, as its name says, a space-themed amusement park.
My mother, brother and I went to Spaceworld using a JR offer, where the park tickets and the train fees are all bundled up. There are a range of fees depending on your age and your starting point.
As the theme park was built in 1990, the attractions are quite old. But if you ask me, all Spaceworld needs is a new lick of paint and you won’t know its age.
There are plenty of rides, including three extremely thrilling rides (and a few other roller coasters), a space-themed haunted house called Alien Panic Attack, and a few water rides.
