While William is best known as an iconic Architectural Photographer whose works have been published widely, he doesn't let that stop him from capturing beautiful images ranging from food to tattoos! He is also a top notch Graphic designer with extraordinary skills in digital manipulations. William has worked and travelled to many countries and regions like Saudi Arabia, Europe, New Caledonia, Mauritius, Singapore, Re-union Island, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Japan.

I find Architectural Photography to be the most interesting to work on especially at the blue hour (7.15-7.45pm). The true challenge is not only to get your exposure setting right. You have to look at other areas as well like perspective, colour temperature and foreground distraction. I would normally bracket my exposures and blend them in photoshop or HDR Photomatix software.

I began digital photography with only a point-and-shoot Lumix FZ7 followed by a Nikon D80 and Fuji S5Pro. I currently own a Nikon D300. Dream camera? The D300 is sufficient for me. :-)

Any tips for Architectural Photography enthusiasts?

You would definitely need a sturdy tripod. If the building is 50 floors, try to find access to another building with good vantage point. I normally take the shot from half the height of the target which is 25 floor to get a straight building. This is just my guideline for non-dramatic angle. Not a rule of thumb. Also, it's important to use a remote trigger or a self-timer for a perfect register. Mirror lock if you can.
